Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
letmecook is a cooking coach: point your camera at your ingredients and it suggests real meals you can make, filtered for your allergies and dietary needs. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we do not, and how to remove your data.
Allergy & dietary filtering is free on every plan — we never put food safety behind a paywall.
What we collect
- Ingredient photos — sent to Google Gemini to identify what's in the picture. The photo is processed for detection and not stored by us after the result comes back.
- Allergy & dietary profile — stored on your device, and (only if you create an account) in our database so it follows you across devices.
- Meal history, saved recipes, and meal plans — stored on your device.
- Account email — only if you sign in with email, Google, or Apple.
- Anonymous usage analytics — which screens are used, to improve the app. No advertising identifiers are sold.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not keep your ingredient or meal photos after they're processed.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and account/profile storage.
- Google Gemini — ingredient detection from photos.
- RevenueCat — subscription management (Home / Plus / Family).
- Pexels — recipe images served via CDN.
Your rights & how to delete your data
Signing out (Profile or Settings → Sign out) clears all local data on that device — allergies, saved recipes, and progress. To delete an account and any server-stored profile, email us and we will remove it.
